About this collection
Sixteen raptors, every one drawn on the wing. A bald eagle soaring, a golden eagle banking, the peregrine in its stoop, an osprey over the river, a harrier working the marsh, and a turkey vulture riding a mesa thermal. Each plate is captioned in script italic with the bird's Latin binomial.
On warm white the wing feathers read like an old field-guide engraving; on deep black the birds seem lit from below, the way you actually see a hawk against the sun. They hold up in an office, a stairwell, or on the tall wall of a cabin great room.
