The farm store

Straight from the field

Everything here was grown, gathered, or laid on our Missouri farm. Quantities follow the seasons — if something is spoken for, it will be back.

Barnyard mix hatching eggs from the Story Thyme flock

Barnyard Mix Hatching Eggs

One fertile dozen from our free-ranging mixed flock. The parent birds are a colourful barnyard blend selected for hardiness, temperament, and a rainbow egg basket. Collected daily, stored pointy-end down, and packed in foam shippers. Hatch rates depend on your incubation — we ship only clean, well-shaped, recently laid eggs.

$18 / dozen
Plants & roots

Perennials that pull their weight

Egyptian walking onion bulbils

Egyptian Walking Onion Bulbils — 20 count

The onion that replants itself: each stalk sets a cluster of top-set bulbils that bow to the ground and "walk" across the bed. Plant in fall or early spring, an inch deep; harvest green onions almost year-round. Hardy to zone 3.

$12 / 20 bulbils
Bocking 14 comfrey root cuttings

Bocking 14 Comfrey Root Cuttings — 5 count

The classic sterile cultivar: all the deep-rooted mineral mining, chop-and-drop mulch, and bee-friendly flowers, none of the self-seeding. Plant cuttings horizontally two inches deep and stand back. Established plants shrug off drought, mowing, and chickens.

$15 / 5 cuttings
Live-goods note: hatching eggs and plant material ship Monday–Wednesday so nothing sits in a hot depot over a weekend. See shipping & returns for the full care we take.
