About this collection
Bearded show irises hang beside wild species in this set: superstition, immortality, beverly sills, batik, black gamecock, iris pseudacorus, and iris reticulata. Script italic captions name the cultivars; the species plates carry their Latin binomials.
Deep black suits the near-black blooms - superstition and black gamecock hold their color against it - while warm white lets butter and sugar and the other pastels breathe. Try an upstairs landing, a bedroom, or the wall behind a writing desk.
Superstition on the black ground is the strongest single print here. On white, pair beverly sills with immortality.
- Matte poster, printed on demand
- Six sizes, 8x10 up to 24x36 inches
- Printed reproduction of an illustrated design - sold unframed
- Runs from tall bearded show cultivars down to the little iris reticulata.
