About this collection
Moths that fly after dark, half on their host trees - luna sweetgum, cecropia cherry, polyphemus oak, io redbud - and half on flowers that only open at night, like sphinx moonflower, underwing cereus, and hawkmoth nicotiana. Each plate is named below in script italic with its Latin binomial.
Deep black is this set's native ground; luna green and eyespots read the way they do at a porch light. Warm white turns the same plates into daylight specimens, quieter but exact. It is dark academia for a study, a library wall, or a moody bedroom.
Start on black with luna sweetgum. Sphinx moonflower and underwing cereus complete a night-shift trio.
- Matte poster, printed on demand
- Six sizes, 8x10 up to 24x36 inches
- Printed reproduction of an illustrated design - sold unframed
- Split evenly between moth-on-host-tree and moth-on-night-bloomer, so a full wall alternates leaf and petal.
