About this collection
Fancy birds, drawn straight. A peacock with its fanned train, a white peacock, the golden and lady amherst pheasants, a vulturine guineafowl, and a silkie chicken all take the same plate format, with a script italic caption naming each bird.
Deep black is the obvious ground here; the peacock train and pheasant golds sit on it like inlay. Warm white plays the same birds as daylight aviary studies. Suited to a front hall, a formal dining room, or above a dresser.
Buy the peacock fanned train first. Flank it later with the golden pheasant and the lady amherst if the wall allows.
