About this collection
Halloween the way a nineteenth-century plate book would have drawn it: a raven and a pair of crows, ghost pumpkins and jack o lanterns, bats, a black cat, fly agaric mushrooms, nightshade, a spider's web, a memento mori. Sixteen designs, each painted as a natural-history study and captioned in script italic - the subjects are spooky, the treatment is serious.
On the deep black ground these read as dark academia - candlelit, gothic, the kind of print that stays up past November 1st without apology. On warm white the same subjects turn into antique curiosities, closer to an old field guide than a haunted house. Entryways, mantels and bar carts are where they earn their keep.
If you only hang one, the raven on black is the collection's quiet centerpiece; a trio of raven, ghost pumpkins and black candles makes a mantel run that costs less than a single framed poster elsewhere.
