About this collection
Volume two works the tall end of the border: hollyhock, delphinium, canterbury bells, larkspur, globe thistle, bears breeches, and jacobs ladder, with sweet william holding down the front row. Each stem is labeled in script italic with its Latin binomial, seed-catalog style.
Warm white keeps the plates soft and papery, closer to cottagecore than to a lab. Deep black turns the pale spires - hollyhock especially - into a garden seen at dusk. Hang them in a bedroom, an entry hall, or above the potting bench.
