Bird's Nest Fern
Asplenium nidus
Family Aspleniaceae

Ferns have a reputation for dying dramatically indoors — bird's nest fern is the exception. Its fronds are glossy, rippled, and undivided, unfurling from a central rosette like bright green ribbon, and it keeps that gloss in the ordinary indoor air that turns fussier ferns crisp.
Tolerant of low light, happiest in a humid bathroom, and safe for every cat and dog in the house, it stays a manageable foot or two for years. If you have wanted a fern but feared the crispy ending, this is the one to shelve by the shower.
Medium indirect — low light tolerant
Moderate water
Slow growth

Bird's Nest Fern is commonly eaten and isn't considered toxic, but "commonly eaten" isn't a guarantee for any particular person or animal — allergies, quantity, and which part you eat all matter. How do you propagate bird's nest fern?
Stem/leaf cuttings, division, or pups.
