About this collection

Volume two moves past apples and pears into the orchard's back rows: apricot, quince, persimmon, medlar, loquat, damson, greengage, and blood orange. Each fruit is captioned with its Latin binomial in script italic.

Warm white gives the set a cider-label plainness; deep black turns the persimmon and blood orange into something closer to a Dutch still life. Right for a dining room, a kitchen alcove, or the wall behind a bar cart.

The citrus trio hangs well together - blood orange, Meyer lemon, kumquat - in descending size.

  • Matte poster, printed on demand
  • Six sizes, 8x10 up to 24x36 inches
  • Printed reproduction of an illustrated design - sold unframed
  • Medlar, quince, and greengage almost never make it onto prints; that gap is the reason this volume exists.

As captioned on the prints

Apricot (Prunus armeniaca), Prunus domestica, Quince (Cydonia oblonga), Diospyros kaki, Nectarine (Prunus persica), Malus sylvestris, Medlar (Mespilus germanica), Loquat (Eriobotrya japonica), Prunus insititia, Prunus italica, Prunus cerasus, Kumquat (Citrus japonica), Orange (Citrus sinensis), Citrus meyeri, Calamondin Orange (Citrus microcarpa), Prunus syriaca.
